Beginner’s Wingfoil Course

Aimed at those who have never touched a wing before and want to experience what this sport is all about. 

You will learn how to fly the wing altering your course upwind and down wind, firstly off the foil and then on the last days hopefully get a taster of what it’s like to fly. 

You will be on the water from day one after being explained the basics on land. Each lessons will have part theory and part practical to make sure you fully understand each step. 

The course includes one Tow-in session of 1.5h, depending on availability. 

What you will learn:

  • Parts of the wing
  • How to rig your wing
  • How to fly the wing 
  • Wing position to sailing up and downwind
  • Wing position to turn the board around 
  • Sail the wing whilst standing on a no-foil board
  • How to set up and carry your foil 
  • How to get the board up onto your foil 

The course is adapted daily depending on the individual progress of our students and the wind conditions.

How do I learn to Wingfoil?

Our Wingfoil courses are flexible and performance based, which means that we offer a wide variety of schedules, organized according to how fast you progress and of course wind dependent.

How long does it take to learn?

While our basic courses are four days long, achieving mastery in the sport requires dedicated practice over time, much like any other athletic endeavor. Progress varies individually based on prior knowledge and skills; some may choose additional lessons post-course, while others are content to continue refining their skills independently.

Is wingfoiling safe?

Yes, wingfoiling is a safe water sport when taught by our experienced instructors, with a focus on proper equipment usage, technique, and adherence to safety guidelines.

What equipment will be provided?

Depending on the lesson you are having you will be provided with a board with or without a foil, a wing, life jacket, helmet and knee pads.

What gear will I need to bring?

You need to come dressed for the beach, bikinis, bathing suits, swimming trunks or wetsuits are all acceptable. Rock shoes/ wetsuit shoes are recommended. Everything else will be provided.

Do I have to be a good swimmer to wingfoil?

Some swimming ability is required. You will be provided with a life jacket for safety but you will need to have basic swim skills and be comfortable in the water in case you fall off the board.
